The company MASTIX SA produces and commercializes the waterproofing bands BFL-MASTIX.

THE CONCEPT

The BFL-MASTIX system is conceived to assure long term watertightness of joints, in particular adapting to the deformations in concrete structures.

CONSTITUTING ELEMENTS OF  BFL-MASTIX BANDS

1/ The core

In order to adapt to structure movements, the core of the BFL-MASTIX bands is constituted of a watertight plasto-elastic, non-rotting and root-proof material. To assure watertightness, the core adheres by glueing to hard concrete and to fresh concrete by incrusted fine crushed gravel.

2/ Gravel covered surface

The gravel plays the role of an adherence bridge between the core and the fresh concrete.

3/ The gluing surface

It concerns the part of the band that is not gravel coated and serves for the gluing to a support (hard concrete, metal, asbestos-cement, sealing foils, etc.).

4/ The elastic reserve

That’s the part of the band capable to freely deform in order to absorb movements without rupture of the interface core/gravel or glued surface/support.
